Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ son Christian may have ended up getting into trouble during his father’s trial after wearing a T-shirt with a message on it.

The rapper is accused of racketeering, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied all charges and entered a plea of not guilty.

Several witnesses have been called to testify, including former partners of Combs such as Cassie Ventura and a woman going by the name of ‘Jane’ to protect her identity.

They have gone into detail about the ‘freak offs’ the musician held, including moments where they were told to have sex with escorts while Combs watched and the drug use that went on around the events.

Members of Combs’ family have been attending court, but one of his sons ended up wearing a shirt that wasn’t allowed.

What court rules have been broken?

Courtrooms have rules regarding dress conduct and NBC reports that on Jane’s last day of testimony (12 June) Christian Combs showed up wearing a T-shirt with a slogan showing support for his father.

They explained that since he is sitting in the eyeline of the jury, wearing any clothing with a slogan on it could be seen as an attempt to communicate a message to them.

Diddy himself got into trouble with the judge earlier in the trial over actions that were seen as a potential attempt to communicate with the jury.

He was called out for making faces towards the jury, which the judge said was ‘absolutely unacceptable’ and said ‘this cannot happen again’.

What did the T-shirt say?

The shirt Christian was wearing said ‘free Sean Combs’ on it, which the Daily Mail reports had Diddy ‘mouthing his approval’.

Diddy’s mother and his children have shown up in court, though Combs’ daughters left the courtroom at one point early on while testimony was being given on him performing sex acts.

What are the consequences?

Someone breaking the court rules on what to wear can be ejected from the courtroom by the judge if they so desire, while the people with slogans on their clothing could also be told to turn the item inside out so people cannot see the message.

In other recent developments in the trial, Kanye West showed up at the courtroom today (13 June) and then left after about 40 minutes.

Prosecutors this week asked for one of the jurors to be removed over a ‘serious issue’, though the juror in question is still present at the trial for now.

Judge Arun Subramanian said if there was to be any further discussion on the matter it would be done at the end of the day.
